i've been away from the wts so many years, my memory on certain things is rather fuzzy.

my question is if the holy spirit wasn't poured out til pentecost, how does the last supper come in to play when the apostles weren't even anointed then?

so why is the anointed only to partake of the wine and bread?.

for example, they pride themselves in what they don't believe such as immortal souls, the trinity, hellfire, etc.. some exjws still believe it is the "truth" and support the basics.. .

They now remind me of children with super x-ray play glasses trying to dicipher bible codes.

The WTS is all horse shit. And the pile continues to grow as time marches on.......will be interesting to see what they have planned for their upcoming new light/excuse spin......

Don't get too comfortable. Usually depends on the elders.

CA is NOT liberal. I was inactive and got DF'd for smoking and not repenting.

I started smoking off and on...someone saw me, reported me, elders called me to come in, I "admitted" (like a dumb ass) I was smoking but not at the moment, they asked if I was going to stop smoking, I said I didn't know, they asked if I was repentful for smoking, I told them not by force, they DF'd me.......bottom line. I'm in Los Angeles, CA.

Yes, here in the US even with very old cases, much is being exposed and changing. Will be interesting to see what happens with Cardinal Mahony in particular.

i've been studying the watchtower religion with a younger jw couple for some months now.. my main motivation was the fact i knew nothing about christianity, they knocked on my door and offered their "bible" study... so why not learn something, i thought.. .

and yeah, this is one crazy cult.... .

Yes and many are hanging on hope of a new paradise. Many dare not question. It will destroy a hope they've sacrificed and been waiting for. And the WTS works and feeds off humans primal fear.

Plus, MANY do not really know the WTS real doctrines, which they seem to teach once every 10 years or so in WT study. For instance the New Covenant or Christ ONLY Mediator for the GB and 144000.

One of my relatives sees there are serious issues with the GB, but cannot separate what the bible says, vs what the GB is dicating to them. I ask if the GB is wrong and constantly change teachings, couldn't they be wrong about shunning or other dogma? Nothing penetrates.

They may be forced to, there's been quite a lot of puplicity in the news. A child abuse victim (from a priest) who recently won a case, is now also seeking to prosecute Cardinal Mahoney.

i stay at my grandmother's house and pay a little rent to her (r500) as it is all i can afford.

i do however buy and take care of all my own food, washing etc.. this morning at 6 am, my bedroom door opend, slammed shut, heard the key turn a couple of times, open and slam shut again.

i woke up with a fright as that has never happened....first thought is someone is in the house.

Combined with well known temper, he also may be in the begining stages of Dementia! They get MEAN, or even MEANER then they already were....

If you can make him cups of tea.....make Chamomile.....or slip him som Homeopathich remedies for temper.

Yes, it would be wise to start a police file and have him on record, and get that extra lock!! Gosh, I'm sorry for your stressful situation
